LI-DOG will meet on Thurs., September 16th at a new venue:

to discuss all its current Nassau County initiatives, the latest news from dog parks in Suffolk County, and plans for future events.
The general meeting will start at 6 p.m. so that we can discuss:
- Suffolk County dog park developments including planned improvements at Robinson Farm Dog Park
- Upcoming events including Pints & Paws @Mary Carroll’s and Doggie Nights at Eleanor Rigby’s in Mineola.
At 7 p.m., we’ll start the Nassau Committee meeting. On the agenda will be:
- Our Town of Oyster Bay dog park campaign;
- The latest developments on a dog park in Eisenhower Park;
- Sponsorship opportunities/dog park captains
- Hempstead Lake State Park status
- Other Nassau County initiatives

Two days of family friendly activities, combining the Pet Expo in the Park and the 3rd Annual L.I. Family Festival. Well behaved pets (dogs on leash please) are welcome and may participate in a variety of activities-Canine Good Citizenship testing, Canine Fashion Show, Best Trick Contest, and more. On Sunday, watch agility demonstrations and try an agility ring with your pet. The Family Festival includes a carnival, entertainment, car show and more. Grab your dogs and walk for a cause! Join other dog lovers for this fun-filled event to benefit some special causes, including the Humane Society of the United States and the Bideawee. One-mile walk with an optional additional mile route. Registration is $10.00, and walkers are encouraged to find sponsors, with a portion of event proceeds benefitting local shelters and homeless pets. After the morning walk through the streets and sands of Montauk, enjoy vendors and activities with your canine friend.

3/29/04 - Community Dog Run Opens at Huntington Animal Shelter. After three years of hard work, the general population dog run is now open at the Town of Huntington Animal Shelter.
6/29/03 - Coindre Hall Dog Run Becomes Law! Suffolk County Exec Robert Gaffney, flanked by members of H-DOG and Leg. Jon Cooper, signed the Coindre Hall dog park bill into law on June 27th.
