Could the Eisenhower dog park FINALLY be happening? Yes! On Wed., Oct. 19, 2011, Nassau Parks officials told LI-DOG’s lead organizer on the project that the fencing has been ordered and that the Parks Dept. hopes to have it installed by late fall. The site for the new dog park, which covers approximately 1.5 acres, is located at the junction of Salisbury Park Drive and Stewart Avenue. There will be separate small dog and large dog areas, as recommended by LI-DOG.
