The Town of Oyster Bay is making plans for expanding Allen Park in Farmingdale. Among ideas for the 22-acre expansion are a community pool, more fields and walking trails. The site also would be GREAT for a new dog park! Why?
At an Oct. 18th Town Board meeting, Supervisor John Venditto urged LI-DOG and our supporters to get involved in community meetings about the Allen Park expansion by making the case for a dog park in Farmingdale. These meetings are being planned now and LI-DOG will be notified when they are scheduled, he said. We’ll let everyone know as soon as we get the details. What you can do now: Help LI-DOG work for a dog park in Farmingdale by downloading the flyer and the petition asking the Town to create a dog park for dog owners and their dogs on a portion of the 22-acre expansion of Allen Park. Please mail completed petitions to LI-DOG, P.O. Box 1171, Huntington, NY 11743. You can also let Supervisor Venditto and the Town Board know that the Allen Park expansion is a great place to build a dog park by calling 516/624-6350 or go to the Oyster Bay website at http://www.oysterbaytown.com/ and click on Contact Us on the right side of the homepage. Thanks for your support! As always, keep in touch by e-mailing us at lidog_news@yahoo.com.
