The Dog Lovers' Guide to the Good Life, by Carol Saxe and Hanita Blumfield, is a 76-page, hard cover, illustrated guidebook to fun places to go with your dog. The guidebook features 33 beautiful illustrations of dogs enjoying themselves playing, swimming, surfing, socializing and otherwise having a grand time. Among places featured in the book that welcome people and dogs are the Beach in East Hampton where dogs are allowed off-leash; Central Park, hotels and restaurants in New York City; Camp Gone to the Dogs in Vermont which features Dock Diving; and high end hotels in Denver, California and Florida that provide everything from surfing lessons for your dog to personal pet hikes that include two hours of off-leash fun. Each of these locations includes a write up from the authors and "reviews" by the authors' four dogs ranging from one bark for "no, thank you" to five barks for "I could do this for hours!"
The book, which makes a great gift or coffee table book, retails for $29.99, but if you mention LI-DOG, you’ll get the book for $25 with shipping included. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each book will go to LI-DOG! In addition, to further support our efforts, Saxe Studio will provide a 15% discount on any dog-related print or breed portraits. If you order an original portrait and your dog is a rescue or mixed breed, Saxe will provide an even bigger discount.
