Following are some of the outstanding letters that were sent to Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy. The letters detail the sense of disbelief and outrage several dog owners felt at being treated like criminals for nothing more than trying to provide their dogs with exercise and socialization at a place where canine guardians have been bringing their best friends for almost thirty years. ( Please note that while people did witness the officer pulling out his night stick, earlier reports that he raised it were inaccurate). Also note that full names have been changed to initials in order to address privacy concerns.
