LI-DOG Nassau County Meeting to Focus on Off-Leash Campaigns

Because the off-leash situation in Nassau County is so much worse than in Suffolk, we have undertaken a separate campaign to get off-leash facilities there. On Thurs., March 18th at 7 p.m., the Nassau Committee of LI-DOG will meet at the Empress Diner on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow to discuss the status of our current and future campaigns to create new off-leash facilities in Nassau County.

The agenda will be:

  • Town of Oyster Bay campaign
  • Hempstead Lake State Park campaign
  • Other potential campaigns (Town of Hempstead and beaches)
  • Press and letters

Eventually we plan to roll this meeting into the main LI DOG monthly meeting, but for now there is so much to do to get the Nassau campaign kick-started that we are meeting separately.

If you’re tired of seeing "No Dogs Allowed" signs in public parks, join LI-DOG for our March 18th Nassau County meeting!
