LI-DOG has been petitioning the Town of Oyster Bay since February 2008 for a much needed dog park. At the October 18, 2011, Town Board meeting, we finally got confirmation from Supervisor John Venditto that a site in Massapequa has been designated for this purpose. The dog park will be created within a larger park on the 5.5-acre property. If all goes well, the Town hopes to have the site available in the spring. Representatives from LI-DOG spoke at the Board meeting and were introduced to point people for this project. We are thrilled with the support from the Town and will keep everyone informed as the project moves forward. Read the article in the Oyster Bay Enterprise Pilot.
